Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff on site!!
There was a food truck on site but it quickly ran out of food, a small shop on site that stocked supplies would be beneficial! Other than that it was great!!

Reception staff were amazing. Location was great… Weather wasn’t great for first 4 days which made our stay different to expectation…obviously no one could change that! I was disappointed initially to be charged €10 for arriving early and this was not clear on booking confirmation. Also electric seemed expensive… otherwise fabulous site and beautiful area…Thank you
When toilets / washrooms were cleaned it was difficult to use facilities if we needed to.. toilet seat would’ve been a nice treat!

Clean and plentiful wash and toilet facilities. Lovely common room. Short walk to train and bus stops. Direct access to trails. Close to great cycle path into town also. Friendly and helpful staff. Bread delivery in mornings and a selection of evening food vendors organised. Everything you need, shame can't be open in winter. We stayed in our VW camper, larger vans on site, but beware of height and width restrictions getting on to site

The reception was very helpful and available for any questions or information. The camping is very beautiful and not too big, so that you can enjoy peaceful evenings and quiet mornings. Every evening there's a different food truck and every morning fresh bread delivery, which is nice for variability and to try different things!

Loved the lovely big pitch, fresh bakery each morning and food options in the evening. Loved how quiet and peaceful it was on an evening. Reception staff were were so kind and competent handling a situation when our little boy had an accident at the park. Thank you!
Possibly closing bathrooms for cleaning could have a been a little later.

The establishment
Everyone at reception were super nice and accommodating. The location is excellent, only a few mins walk to the train station. From the camping you can also hike directly up to Parc Merlet, and the ski lift to the Les Bossons Glacier is also really close. There are no grocery stores nearby, but the camping makes up for this by having a different food truck every night, and a baker coming round every morning around 9am.

We got an amazing tent spot under a tree, which protected us from both sun and rain. With the option to have electricity, it almost feels luxurious. Hot water in the showers felt amazing after being out and about the whole day.
The only thing we disliked is something that is common to certain areas of France, so not really the camping's fault: no toilet seats. We understand that this is for cleaning reasons, but it still puzzles us every time.

We had a great stay at Camping Les Marmottes. The location is stunning and had the best wake up view of our trip. The campsite is well organised, very clean and the staff are.friendly and accomodating. It is very easy to get into Chamonix by train or bus.
The last transport back from Chamonix is mid evening so it would be good to know of an alternative to get back to the campsite after 8pm.

Especially the view of the mountains. We had a lovely pitch with quiet neighbours. The toilet facilities were close by which was nice. We really enjoyed baker Eric who came by every morning to serve us freshly baked breads. Besides, the camping is supporting smaller businesses which serve diners every day. The staff was considerable and kind and communicated clearly. The showers were nice and warm. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the camping is quiet and warm.
The toilets were sometimes quite messy, but that's more the fault of other visitors.

The location is very beautyful, is very practical to go climbing from there. The view was beautiful and everything was clean. Its a familiary athmosphere there.
The path to go on the camping spot is very narrow, it was vers difficult with a caravan to get to the camping ground and then to the spot. Our spot was small we could not us our pre-tent.

Location is always key, the view was great and the transport links ideal. The site and facilities were immaculately clean and the pitch was superb (good size, level ground, shade from surrounding trees) Bins appeared to be emptied frequently throughout the day and the daily food truck+ morning bakery were very convenient
Booking so far in advance and on a bank holiday weekend, we did have to commit and pay for additional nights, that went unused.

Pitches (two tents) were a good size, the ground was firm but not rocky or littered with tree roots, and pretty level. Tree canopy's offered excellent shade to stop from overheating.

Visited many times. This year new owners are in place and they have been cheerful and amazingly helpful towards us. Friends needed a pitch when the site was full but as we had a larger pitch, they said they could stay on ours also. We also extended our stay and the owners kindly moved pitches around to accommodate us. The food each night out on by incoming establishments is great and very reasonable also and the links to bus and train services, or cycling into Chamonix off the roads are excellent. Thanks. We’ll be back again!
It would be better if the toilet block cleaning was a little later. Perhaps 12 - 2pm, just so if you want a steady morning you still have time to use facilities and wash pots etc.

We received a very friendly welcome to camping les marmottes at reception. Throughout our 10 day stay the people at reception were lovely. The pitch was spacious, and quiet. The toilets, showers, washing-up area was very clean and well maintained. Every evening a food truck was on site, each night a different cuisine eg BBQ, Pizza, Nepalese, which we found was brilliant! Especially after hiking in the mountains! There is a man with fresh bread every morning. We were able to get free bus/train throughout the valley. The views onto the mont blanc range are stunning. We would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at this site which we chose because of its location near Chamonix, Italy and Switzerland. Our pitch was perfect, just enough privacy and a view of the mountains which was entertainment in itself. The site team were super friendly and gave good advice on the area, they also gave us a free bus and train pass for the area which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the various food vendors who were their most evening and met many other guests who all seemed to be loving their stay. It is highly likely that we will return next year, so much more to see and do.
My only negative feedback would be that the water pressure and temperature were both too low and a suggestion would be that toilet paper should be provided in every cubicle.

We are on an 8 week Motorhome trip and wanted to see / visit Mont Blanc / Chamonix. The site was perfect for us in terms of location and scenery. It was a little tight for our Motorhome but once on our pitch it was fine. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the site although little rustic was very clean and tidy.
No water fresh water taps on or near your pitch and no grey waste (drive over) dump. The site although quite big is very compact in terms of driving to your pitch.

We loved our stay here from the minute we arrived and were given a warm welcome. The facilities are great and we never had to queue. We made use of the food available in the evenings a couple of times. The location is perfect - it's really quiet and has fantastic views, yet it's so quick and easy to get into Chamonix or anywhere else in the valley. If we came to the area again, we would definitely stay here.

Chamonix is a really good mountain resort. So many things you can do here and the view od the Mont Blanc massif od amazing.

The location is really good, the pitches for camping are big and have access to electricity. We booked a fridge and got our own fridge which is amazing it you cook every day. The Quality/price ratio is really good.
The restrooms could be cleaner. They were ok, but they didnt meet our standards from central Europe.

A great location, with excellent on site facilities
The electrical hook up is not located at every pitch and you may need a lead of up to 25m! I was not aware of this and ended up borrowing a lead from the site which led to a small argument about cost!

A generally quiet site with plenty of room for my campervan and tent
it was disappointing that the electrical hook up was so far away and that for me this was not clear within the documents I received as part of the booking. Please make this clearer to others - if this had not been an issue, my stay would have been scored 100%!

Great campsite located in Les Bossons, with bus stops and train station minutes walk away, getting you into Chamonix in about 10 mins. Great facilities and excellent location, with views towards Bossons Glacier, Aguille Du Midi and Mont Blanc. Great base to explore the Chamonix valley from and fully utilise your Mont Blanc Multipass if you buy one!

The facilities where great and very clean. The fact that different chefs and food trucks came every evening was a brilliant idea and we enjoyed the BBQ, Sherpa night and Italian and the take away chips are fab, add them to a SuperU rotisserie chicken and you have a quick meal. Plus the free bus /train tickets were a bonus.

De jolie paysage, de belles et dures randonnées mais le paysage en vaut le coup de belle rencontre faite dans le camping. Avec la carte d'hôtes cela nous permet de nous déplacer sans prendre la voiture et de ne pas payer les parkings qui sont tous payant aux alentours. Pendant 10 jours notre voiture n'a pas bougé. Camping très agréable et calme. A partir de 22h il n'y avait pas de bruit. La propreté des sanitaires rien à dire nettoyé tout au long de la journée. Les propriétaires et les employés très gentils et agréable.
Attention le boulanger arrivent tout les matins en klaxonnant dans le camping pour prévenir de son arrivée vers 9h. Cela ne nous a pas gêné c'était notre réveil matinale. A noter aussi que le train passe devant le camping mais il ne circule pas la nuit. Le matin il passe vers 7h mais nous ne l'entendions pas avant 8h30. Si vous faites de bonnes rando vous serez bien fatigué et n'entendrez pas les bruits alentours.

Camping calme et propre. Bien situé, à proximité immédiate des transports en communs (train, bus). Personnel accueillant et souriant. La vue sur le glacier des Bossons est magnifique. La salle de jeux est un lieu aussi agréable pour aller lire le soir au chaud et confortable, autant pour adultes que les enfants. Je recommande ce camping si vous chercher un lieu convivial et calme.

Superbe région avec des paysages magnifiques. Cartes d’hôtes très utiles pour pouvoir circuler gratuitement dans la vallée.
Par contre région un peu chère. (télécabines, alimentation, etc...)

Camping très reposant, pas de bruit le soir et la nuit. Sanitaires bien fournies et régulièrement nettoyé. Emplacement au top avec vue sur les glaciers. Manque juste quelques arbres pour faire un peu d'ombre lorsque le soleil est au rendez-vous.

J'ai particulièrement aimé la localisation du camping : vue sur le glacier des bossons et gare TER accessible en 5 minutes à pied qui permet des navettes régulières et gratuites dans la vallée. Le camping est propre, simple mais suffisant.

La région est magnifique. Nous avons pu profiter de l'ambiance avec l'UTMB. Visite de l'Aiguille du Midi, de Helbronner, le lac blanc, le lac vert... Très belles vacances...

Le camping est très agréable, idéalement situé en ce qui concerne la vue sur l'Aiguille du midi et sur le dôme du Goûter ainsi que sur le Mont Blanc. Emplacement parfait (nous étions en toile de tente). Il est génial et ses gérants accueillants. Ne pas hésiter à leur demander conseils pour des visites, restos...
Le ménage dans les douches uniquement entre 11h et 13h à mon avis soit insuffisant soit les horaires ne sont pas bien placés mais si non rien à redire.

Nous apprécions particulièrement le calme qui règne aux Marmottes, les gestes mis en place pour l'écologie et les "coups de pouce" (notamment l'espace "à donner" ou "servez-vous et déposez"). Le fait de pouvoir grignoter ou dîner sur place et le service de pain et viennoiserie sont des vrais plus. Les emplacements sont agréables. L'espace nursery est vraiment top avec une baignoire à hauteur et un vrai espace de change ! Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Nous avons séjourné au camping des Marmottes pour la quatrième fois et tout s'est encore très bien passé. Accueil des propriétaires, taille des emplacements, propreté, utilisation de la carte d'hôtes à ne pas négliger non plus...Nous reviendrons.

Emplacement idéal, à proximité de chamony, 10mn du centre ville par bus ou train gratuit avec la carte d’hôte délivrée lors de tout séjour dans la vallée, vue magnifique sur le massif du Mont Blanc et le glacier des Bossons. Reservation hat bereits rasch geklappt. Auf dem Camping herrliche Aussicht auf die Gletscher. Beim Check-in bereits bezahlen - das schätze ich sehr. Alles erledigen, dann nur noch geniessen. Gute Ausgangslage für Biketouren, Trailrunning und Wandertouren.

Bonjour Nous avons une petite épicerie de dépannage avec les produits de base, lait beurre, pâtes, confiture... à la réception. La liste des produits est affichée à l'accueil avec la liste des viennoiseries et des pains à commander. N'hésitez pas à poser des questions, nous sommes là pour y répondre !

Sehr netter und freundlicher Service, trotz sprachlicher Barrieren. Man hat sich um aufkommende Probleme gekümmert. Für Familien sowie mit Kindern sehr empfohlen. Ist auch ein kleiner Spielplatz vorhanden.

Accommodation review
Stellplatz > als 100m2 war von der Größe her in Ordnung für 1 Wohnwagen 7m lang + Vorzelt, Auto abstellen auf dem selben Platz nicht möglich. Von unserem Platz her (51) wunderbarer Ausblick auf das Mont Blanc Massiv. Duschen sowie Sanitär Anlagen sauber und werden gründlich gereinigt.
Frischwasser Anschluss in Stellplatz Nähe ( 45L Frischwassertank) auffüllen ist man etwas am Laufen bis vor zu Rezeption, mit in die Beschreibung nehmen das man eine Kabeltrommel mitnehmen sollte da die Stromanschlüsse auch nicht unbedingt in der Nähe sind. Parzellierung nicht überall vorhanden. Parzellen wirken etwas kleiner.

Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de plaats op de mont blanc en omliggende bergen. Goede verbinding met de bus naar bergliften. Hele mooie natuur en wandelroutes. Camping is rustig en erg prettig.
Elektriciteit te ver van campingplek. Moesten een extra draad huren.

Prachtige plaats, rustige camping, mooi uitzicht vanaf de plek. Geen last van de nabijliggende weg door rivier die achter de camping stroomt.

Zeer propere en rustige camping. Pluspunten: nabijheid trein richting centrum, bakker die langskomt op de camping, mogelijkheid om avondeten te nuttigen ondanks dat ze geen eigen restaurantje hebben.
Jammer dat de bakker pas rond 9u à 9u15 langskomt.

Het was fijn dat we een dag konden bijboeken om nog een wandeling te kunnen maken.
Er was onvoldoende sanitair voor het aantal gasten op de camping. Altijd moest je aanschuiven om naar toilet te gaan. Hierdoor was het sanitair ook echt heel vies.

Het manoeuvreren met de caravan naar plaats 58 was lastig bij vertrek. De bocht en doorgang is dan te smal vanwege struiken en bomen. Loskoppelen van de auto en de caravan zelfstandig er door heen loodsen is de enige mogelijkheid om zonder schade van de camping te komen.

L'information concernant le passage du pont est sur notre site internet. Les sanitaires sont fermés entre 11h et 13 h pour le nettoyage, cependant les toilettes restent toujours accessibles. La surface de votre emplacement était de 80m2 ce qui est le standard pour un camping 3 étoiles. Le boulanger ne pouvant plus faire la tournée, le pain et les viennoiseries se commandent la veille à la réception avant 18h et les clients peuvent retirer leur commande le matin à partir de 8h30 au petit chalet et jusqu'au soir à la réception pendant les heures d'ouverture.

En juillet et août, nous avons des prestataires extérieurs qui font de la vente à emporter , Francesco et ses pupasas du Salvador, Charles qui proposent des viandes marinées et cuites au barbecue et des frites, le Dolce Pida , le Sherpa Kitchen...., bref un choix différend chaque soir sauf le dimanche qui est jour de relâche!

De praktische camping in een geweldige indrukwekkende omgeving sloot goed aan met wat we zochten. Schoon sanitair, met mogelijkheid voor het afhalen van maaltijden, zeer origineel concept. Rustige camping dicht bij Chamonix, fietsafstand, met in je voortuin uitzicht op de hellingen met sneeuw, iedere dag wakker worden in zo een prachtige omgeving gaf ons veel energie.

Pasamos unos agradables días en família y con amigos descubriendo los Alpes. Con la entrada al camping tienes acceso gratuito a tren y autobús para moverte por la zona.
La masificacion turística lo que menos nos gustó.

Lo lejos que tuvimos la toma de corriente, con las molestias consecutivas por ello, ya que perdimos un dia de nuestras vacaciones buscando un alargo de corriente por todo chamonix, muy fustrante, como asi se mlo hicimos saber a la propietaria
