Site full but felt uncrowded, very friendly helpful and hardworking staff, lovely facilities, great pool to cool off in. Highly recommended

The first time we stayed with Oustalet was the result of a web search in the region. Since then we have returned pretty much every year. Love the location, campsite and people.

Flat pitches are great. Easy access to everything.
Missed the view this year. We usually have a more elevated pitch.

Clean, quiet and in a great location for exploring all of the walking and riding trails around this part of the Alps - especially with the Multipass

Clean and tidy and owners always willing to help and sort out any requests.
Sometimes the odd wait for a shower and use of the toilet in the top part of the site.

The establishment
Kind, helpful and English speaking staff. Fast e-mail communication during reservation period. No extra charge for swimming pool. It’s wonderful to swim at the end of your active day. We liked the nearby busstops. No car is needed.
I disliked that although we reserved the camping pitch for 9 days and had to leave after 6 days because of an injury, we had to pay for 9 days. You can expect that when you are in a cabin but not on a camping site. I mean, the pitch is probably filled within the hour. Also, it is not that we just reserve and see how long we stay. I understand that that happens as well . I was told I should have taken the cancellation insurance during reservation. I have never seen this on a camping site before. So, I guess this is a camping site with cabins but with the regulations of a Cabin park.

Nice big and level pitch. No noise from roads in the evening.
3 toilets (upper part of the camping) is a bit few. Also no toilet-seats does not feel comfortable at all.

Stayed for 2 nights, used the swimming pool and showers, all facilities were pristine clean- great location for bike park Chatel- free bus service although we cycled

Le calme , l’accueil, la propreté des sanitaires, des douches bien chaudes , la piscine couverte, les paysages ! Les navettes à disposition
Étant en camping car, il manque simplement une navette du soir afin de profiter des restaurants et des bars les soirs d’été.

Les sanitaires sont très propres. Les emplacements sont spacieux. Le camping est calme. La piscine est très agréable et couverte. Le village de Châtel est très beau avec de jolies balades à faire et bcp d’animation. L’accueil du camping était parfait avec des explications claires.

Très bon accueil, équipe au top et super serviable. Bloc sanitaire propre et agréable. Prêt gratuit de raquette de tennis et de ping-pong, piscine couverte bien sympa.
Assez loin du bike park de Châtel et des commerces mais bus gratuits tout prêt du camping
